The network Women.Innovation.Technology Baden-Württemberg exists since the year 2001.
It is aided by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of science, research and arts, and belongs to the Hochschule Furtwangen University. The project network F.I.T. is conducted in cooperation with the State's Conference of Women Delegates appointed for the Polytechnics in Baden-Württemberg and the State's Conference of Women Delegates appointed for the Universities of Applied Sciences also in Baden-Württemberg.
Main Goal: To broaden the spectrum of career choice for girls and young women in the areas of Computer Science and Technichnology.
Other goals being:
- to make female pupils gain interest in courses related to computer science, technology and science respectively.
- to support female students studying computer science and technology with supplement offers in their study course.
- to back up female scientists, computer scientists and engneers.
- to offer information for female (Multikatorinnen), female students and female pupils.
- to promote the networking of different target groups.
- to back up modulars implemented by institutes of higher learning, schools and youth employment.
